Maple Leaf Adult Respite- assist w/socializing and activities

The Community Kitchen- looking for cooks, servers, dates available
Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)- councilors needed to help with Medicare
Guardian AD Litem – advocates in the court system for children who are abused or neglected
Haywood Regional Medical Center Auxiliary- gift shop, front desk, patient escorts
Literacy Program of Buncombe Co- reading tutor
Smoky MT. Health Care & Rehab Center- assists with activities
The Open Door- assistance in the dining room/kitchen, thrift shop, food pantry
Foster Grandparents- help a pre-school or elementary age child, stipend available if you meet guidelines
Haywood Christian Ministries- receive donations of clothing & goods, 4 hour shifts
Big Brothers/Big Sisters- in need of Big Brothers and Sisters in the community and school programs
Mountain Mediation- Mediate court and civil cases, office help needed
REACH- Hotline volunteers, Thrift store workers.
Lifespan- instructors, art class intern, one on one education, office support
Maggie Valley Chamber & Visitor Center- people to work on special events
Haywood County Public Library- jobs throughout the library
Bethel Rural Community Org. -man food bank pantry for needy, 2nd Wed monthly
Haywood County Arts Council- Gallery docent, admin and event assistant
Haywood Co TDA Visitor Centers- looking for assistance to man centers, greet people
Meals on Wheels –need to drivers to fill routes
JACKSON COUNTY
HERE in Jackson County- meal delivery, assistance relocating clients, client transportation to appointments.
Appalachian Women’s Museum- assist with programs, archiving, maintenance, lawn work, gardening.
Sylva Linings Resale Store- sorting, help at register
Freinds of the Library- Sorting, pricing, register help
MEDWEST Hospice- help at desk or help with patients
PROJECT FIRE- starting Nov 1st, help cut wood 1st Sat of the month
PROJECT CARE- help in shop 4hrs on Mon/Wed mornings
DISABILITY PARTNERS THRIFT STORE- help in store, pick-ups
UNITED CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES- answer phones, package food
JACKSON COUNTY HOME DELIVERED MEALS – volunteers needed to deliver meals to shut-ins one day a week, 38 people on the waiting list.
MOUNTAIN TRACE NURSING- take time help and sit with a senior.
GOLDEN AGE SENIOR CENTER – Golden Steppers (line dancers) and Goldenairs (singers) need volunteers to join them to perform in nursing homes.
JACKSON COUNTY FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER- cooking, cleaning, filing, assisting with programs
CASHIERS HIGHLANDS HUMANE SOCIETY- work with animals, cleaning
COMMUNITY TABLE- help serve meals, food pantry, backpack program
GUARDIAN AD LITEM – volunteers needed to serve as advocates in the court system for abused or neglected children
JACKSON COUNTY RED CROSS- needs help with clerical and greeters at blood drives each month.
FULL SPECTRUM FARMS- need help preparing the garden for spring
SKYAND CARE CENTER- bingo and crafts
CLEAN SLATE COALITION- transportation, office assistance, mentors
